Back in Saginaw. Getting everything slowly but surely moved in. Between that and bouts of BioShock…it is slowly coming along.

Going to rebuild all my machines as well, to..take my mind off of things.

computer shit

Filed under: Technikul, Gaming/Games, Humor, Life And Such, Entertainment — trunkwo @ 11:41 am

I’m broke :/
Gotta sell some things.

Anyone need a factory car stereo?

Anyhoo..got the media box up and running, tho I fear the HDD will die eventually. Welcome, lalivero. I put UT2004 on it last night, played a quick game 1v1 with some bot, getting about 60-80 FPS, which is not bad for an older machine. I might install Fallout(s) and EE on it, for when I go home to play against my bro. Something. Its cute.

Yeah, I’m broke, and yet, I continue to buy computer shit. O.o

Mega Man: Anniversary Collection

Filed under: Technikul, Gaming/Games, Entertainment — trunkwo @ 3:46 pm

I have this game from my gamecube, and its a really cool concept, however…

Megaman

….looking here, they switched the buttons around, making it almost unplayable because of it..

In addition, the original functions of the B and A buttons have been reversed in the GameCube release: B jumps while A fires, whereas it was the other way around in the original NES versions.

I’m calling Capcom to find out what can be done about this. Fellow friends also have the game and they noticed the same thing. At the very least, Megaman being on of Capcom’s finest franchises and recognized characters in a video game, they could have at least put in an option to switch them back. …

And now..for the most useless argument ever..

Filed under: Technikul, Gaming/Games, LAN Scene, Out on the Web — trunkwo @ 10:38 am

Mark Rein, one of many designers involved in the Unreal Project….

“I’m bitterly disappointed that they’re shipping a 32-bit version of Vista - I think that’s very short-sighted, I really don’t see the point of it,” Rein told us. “I think they [Microsoft] kind of capitulated to Intel… I think Intel put the squeeze on Microsoft and said ‘We’re still going to do some 32-bit chips, you’ve got to do a 32-bit version’.”

Read the rest here

According to this, Microsoft is releasing a 32 AND a 64 bit version of Vista. So, when it comes time to choose, pass over the 32-bit section, and go the 64-bit route. It’s like going to a restaurant wanting a hamburger, and complaining that they also have fish.

And, on the other side of the spectrum, Gameshark.com posted an interesting article about how some SP games can be MMORPG’s…read that…here!

GB Micro Goodness - Project

Ever since I grabbed my GB Micro from Amazon.com because of a price mistake, I have had a hard time putting it down since. I showed Matt when he was over the functionalities of it; a unit abotu the size of an NES controller that I was playing old skool Legend of Zelda on, so in other words, I love it. Keeps me entertained..however…Nintendo isnt putting that much into accessories. Granted, I have a GBA SP, but it’s been sitting in a drawer since I grabbed this thing, and I was looking for a cable to hook up the GB Micro to my Game Cube (I have a series of games that utilize the interface between the two units)

…Nintendo doesnt make one. I was sad. …. Until I came across this:
http://www.cheapassgamer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=79849

Woo! So, I ordered the parts from Nintendo (along with a all-black faceplate) and It arrived at my house today. I’ll be doign some soldering at work on Thur, getting this to work….and tossing my GBA SP up for sale.

But wait! you cant play GB or GBC games on the GBA Micro! Stop!
I sure can. I know of a way. ;)
When i get the project completed, I will post a picture.
